I always strive to create content that will accessible to everyone, regardless of age or background.
To this end, I wrote copy for a new tool intended to make Snapchat's camera work better for all of the app's users, regardless of their skin tone.
The copy that was originally suggested used language like "adjust skin tone" and "correct your skin tone." This sort of language implies that there's something wrong with a user's skin tone, and is definitely not the message we want to send. The copy on the tooltip you see at the top right was changed to "adjust camera to skin tone," thus emphasizing that it's the camera that needs to be adjusted here, not the user's skin tone.

The copy on the left was also altered for both clarity and inclusivity.
